EBC Energy Resources Program: Focus on Energy Efficiency and Zero Net Energy Buildings
April 29, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
This EBC Energy Resources program will discuss Zero Net Energy (ZNE) design and concepts along with best practices in energy efficiency. Many people think of renewable energy as the main focus of ZNE design, but energy efficiency is equally important. We will hear from engineers and energy experts who will talk about the emergence of ZNE design as main stream and how energy efficiency can play a larger role in pushing the market towards ZNE. Is ZNE the answer to New England’s high energy prices? We will also invite state officials who will discuss the regulatory process that could lead to higher standards for ZNE buildings and widespread and well-funded energy efficiency programs.
Following the presentations, a tour of the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife ZNE building will be offered.
General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
