This EBC Emerging Contaminants Program will provide an update on COVID-19, with a focus on how this virus is being managed in industry in the realm of environmental impacts. Participants will learn about the rationale, strategies, and procedures for collecting samples for biological residuals, including SARS-CoV-2, in connection with cleaning and disinfection (C&D) programs, environmental testing options available in the analytical laboratory for the COVID-19 virus, how COVID-19 testing of wastewater is being used to monitor early detection of the virus, the differences between cleaning and disinfection including work products and techniques that are available on the market, and finally a perspective on some of the legal risks associated with this virus.
A robust panel discussion with the audience will conclude the program.
Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.5 training contact hours). Please send an email to EBC staff (firstname.lastname@example.org) following the conclusion of the program to receive a certificate.
