This EBC Connecticut PFAS Update will start with an update from CT DEEP on several key activities initiated in 2020, as part of the implementation of the November 2019 Connecticut PFAS Action Plan. The update will cover the GIS project for potential PFAS sources and vulnerability of sensitive receptors, AFFF take-back program, sampling for PFAS in drinking water and other matrices, and testing of wastewater treatment plants. Next, legal considerations for PFAS management will be reviewed. Topics including handling of PFAS substances and obligations for investigation and remediation of PFAS environmental impacts will be discussed.

A robust panel discussion with the audience will conclude the webinar. The panel discussion will be based on a conceptual case study, including considerations for using a historic Phase I ESA report, developing an LEP Verification Report, and investigation of industrial facilities.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.0 training contact hours). Certificates are automatically provided via email link for registered attendees at the conclusion of the webinar.
