EBC Connecticut Chapter Solar Energy Program: Update on the Connecticut ZREC/LREC Program
September 27, 2012 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
Connecticut launched its ZREC and LREC markets in the spring with enthusiastic responses to the RFP. It appears to have resulted in many bids at prices that will result in a lot of renewable energy projects being constructed. Bids are still being evaluated by the utilities and this seminar will be a recap of the program, how it worked, what the results of the bid solicitations were, and how many and what sort of projects secured contracts. We will also discuss what worked well and what can be improved. (You will even be able to ask follow up questions to the Q&A that was posted by the utilities as part of the RFP process!) DEEP officials and utility representatives will be on hand to discuss how the program fared from their perspective and what we can expect going forward.People from UI and CL&P’s interconnection & metering groups will be on hand to discuss and answer questions on the interconnection/metering requirements that may be relevant to projects that have been awarded contracts. We anticipate that project developers will share their experiences with the program. This program will develop and evolve as the RFP bid process and contract execution winds up over the summer, and we will keep you posted.
