MS4 101: What You Need to Know About the New MS4 General Permit

View the Attendee List

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) has issued new requirements for the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program which will become effective on July 1, 2017.  All communities affected by these regulations must submit a new registration and Stormwater Management Plan to the CTDEEP no later than April 1, 2017.

This EBC Connecticut Chapter program on Connecticut’s Updated MS4 Program will provide an overview of the new permit requirements as well as a summary comparison to help towns understand how the new requirements differ from the existing regulations. CT DEEP established the effective permit date of July 1, 2017 on purpose to allow communities time to plan and allocate resources as necessary. Suggested timelines for meeting the various new requirements will also be presented and discussed.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
