EBC Breakfast Meeting with Arleen O’Donnell, Acting Commissioner of the Massachusetts DEP

Acting Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Arleen O’Donnell will discuss those environmental issues that are priorities for the Commonwealth. She will also provide insight into those issues that have implications and provide opportunity for the environmental industry.
Arleen has served at MA DEP for seventeen years, most recently as the Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Planning and before that for eleven years as the Assistant Commissioner for Resource Protection. During this time Arleen has been a leader at both the State and the National level in efforts to deliver environmental results while streamlining regulatory processes. Arleen has a Master’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts.
On August 18, 2006, Governer Mitt Romney announced the appointment of Robert W. Golledge Jr. to secretary of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA). Following that appointment, Governer Romney appointed Arleen O?Donnell as acting Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection on August 29, 2006.
