Our Region’s Solid Waste Market at a Crossroad
A Look at How We Are Responding

Solid waste management in Southern New England is in a seismic shift! Dwindling disposal capacity, pressure to increase verifiable diversion, and a pandemic entering its third year created a perfect storm in the “trash” economy and how we do business.  We are at the crossroads and this EBC 8th Annual “Talking Trash” Conference for Southern New England will share the road map that industry leaders and regulators are taking.

Industry leaders will discuss recent mergers & acquisitions, and future business goals. Both government and industry leaders will discuss how environmental justice has impacted their work, solutions to Covid-19 staffing shortages and rising labor costs, and look at emerging markets.

The Conference will conclude a robust panel discussion providing ample opportunity for questions and discussion among presenters and conference attendees.

This Conference is a peek into the future of solid waste management in Southern New England and should not be missed.  Solid waste professionals, facility managers, municipal leaders, sustainability leaders, and anyone else that cares about solid waste is encouraged to attend.

Additional notes: Breakfast will be served. Lunch will not be served.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
