Company Profile

New England Hydropower Company, LLC (NEHC) develops, operates, and owns small-scale regional and local hydroelectric facilities in the United States. We provide the renewable energy market with a fresh, environmentally sound, fish-friendly and wildlife-safe approach. Applying over ten years of experience with partners in the UK and Europe, NEHC uses exclusively Archimedes Screw Turbines (ASTs). Our model redeploys the existing stable and essential small dams on waterways that powered North America’s development. Our process includes site evaluation, permitting and public outreach, design and engineering, construction oversight, commissioning and operation. We use local and regional resources during the entire cycle of a project. NEHC supports the missions of states, municipalities, private owners and individual entities with the ultimate goal of developing an alternative, renewable, zero emissions energy resource.
