SAME Piscataqua Post – Golf Tournament – July 21

Posted July 12, 2017 by

Come spend a summery Friday of golf in the Seacoast area on Friday, 21 July 2017 for the Post’s 24th Annual Education and Mentoring Fund Golf Tournament being held at the Pease Golf Course located in Portsmouth, NH. You will enjoy good company and scenery at this any-skill-level Golf Tournament hosted at the Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. More importantly, you will support the SAME Piscataqua Post’s 24th Annual Education and Mentoring Fundraising program for STEM students and campers.

It will be a standard Scramble format with teams selecting their best ball for each shot. The Shotgun start will begin at 0800 hours; please arrive no later than 0730 hours to register. The tournament will be followed by prizes, raffles, steak tips and seared salmon, and instating the new Piscataqua Post Officers.

Awards this year will include prizes for low gross and skill-shot contests, including closest-to-the-pin and long drives, sponsored by Pease Golf Course, SAME, and our sustaining Post members. Raffle prizes are also being donated by local businesses and Post members. Be sure to bring extra money for raffle tickets and mulligans the day of the event!

Complete the Entry Form with the registration fee to the name and address indicated on the form. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the after-golf events and barbeque for a small fee, including the raffles and induction ceremony for the Post officers and elected Directors. We request that your entry form and fee be received no later than Friday 14 July 2017. We will do our best to accommodate late entries after the that date.

Are you interested in providing additional sponsorship or donating an award? Please contact Todd Creamer for more information. The staff at the Pease Golf Course Pro Shop (603-433-1331) can assist you in selecting a prize suitable for one of the many awards. Your support is greatly appreciated!

This is the Post’s primary fundraiser event. The funds we raise support scholarships for deserving local engineering college students, SAME summer engineering camps for deserving local middle and high school students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) curricula, and for STEM programs, including the UNH Tech Camp for middle school students.

Sign up to enjoy a fine day of golf, food and sportsmanship as well as to show your support for these fine students – the future of our country!
