Greater Boston, MA

Professional, amateur and recreational canoe and kayak races include international, national, and local entries, ages 12 and up.  More than 1,500 racers and thousands of spectators line the Charles River as the race winds through Dedham, Needham, Newton, Wellesley, and Waltham to the day-long free Finish Line Festival at Herter Park, Soldiers Field Road, Brighton.  Races include the $5000 Professional Flatwater Canoe Marathon, 24-Mile Canoe Relay Race for teams of ten, and 19-, 9- and 6-Mile canoe & kayak races.

Businesses and organizations are invited to form teams for the 24-mile corporate relay event.  No previous experience is necessary and participation helps build camaraderie and team skills with office colleagues.  Racers and co-workers can also enjoy a picnic in the park at the race?s Free Finish Line Festival and help celebrate one of the gems of Boston’s urban environment.  It’s a day you’ll talk about all year long!
