Resolute Marine Energy Wins New Energy Symposium Competition

Boston, MA (August 1, 2009) – Pioneering wave energy technology company Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. (RME) was awarded best Clean Energy Investment Presentation at the 2009 New Energy Symposium in New York City.  RME was selected by a panel of 12 leading venture capitalists over a competitive field of 20 clean tech companies from the U.S. and Canada.

“Winning this prize is clearly a strong vote of confidence for our unique business model,” said Bill Staby, founder and CEO of RME. “I’m very pleased that our strategy and achievements-to-date were recognized and rewarded by the jury.”

Sponsors of the New Energy Symposium presented RME with a check to cover travel costs and entry fees at NREL’s 22nd Industry Growth Forum which will take place November 3-5 in Denver, Colorado.

RME also announced that Olivier Ceberio has joined the company’s senior management team as its Chief Operating Officer.  Prior to RME, Olivier was an aerospace engineer at Starsem S.A. where he directed satellite launches and managed the development, production and inaugural launch of a revolutionary new rocket system. Olivier also headed the transition team that integrated Starsem with Arianespace S.A. Olivier is a dual MBA/MPA graduate of MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Kennedy School of Government and he obtained his Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Institute Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace”(SUPAERO) in 1996.
