Normandeau Associates Promotes Curt Thalken, P.E., to Senior Vice President

Bedford, New Hampshire. September 22, 2011 – Normandeau Associates is pleased to announce the promotion of Colonel (Ret.) Curtis Thalken, P.E. to the position of Senior Vice President. “Normandeau’s continued growth, both in services provided to our clients and geographic span of control make it necessary for us to expand our senior management structure” said Normandeau President and CEO Pam Hall. “Curt’s senior management experience, within the U.S. Army and understanding of the environmental consulting industry make him an ideal candidate to oversee our expanding national and international operations.”

COL Thalken has been a Vice President, with Normandeau for two years. Before joining Normandeau, he served in the U.S. Army for 25 years. His experience includes work in both austere and developed environments and teaching in the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at the United States Military Academy, West Point NY. His military career culminated as Commander of the New England District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) responsible for aspects of the Federal Government’s engineering efforts and regulatory programs within New England. While District Commander, his management responsibilities included over 700 employees and an annual budget exceeding $210 million.
