New Faces, Promotions, and Certifications at ESS Group, Inc.

December 2007 – Wellesley, MA and East Providence, RI – ESS Group, Inc. is proud to announce the following new hires and certifications within our Wellesley and East Providence.

Richard Carpenito, PE – Rick has joined the company as a Senior Civil Engineer in the Land Development and Engineering Practice in our Wellesley, MA office. Rick brings over 20 years of civil engineering experience in both public and private sector land and transportation development projects. His previous experience includes time with URS Corporation as a Senior Project Manager, where he lead several environmental permitting efforts on public and private projects involving the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), Wetlands Notice of Intent (NOI), EPA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and Formal Site Pan Review.

Roger Gosciminski, EIT – Roger, an Engineer-in-Training in Massachusetts, has joined our Energy and Industrial Services Practice as a Staff Engineer in the East Providence, RI office.

Roger earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and MS degree in Environmental Engineering, Concentration in Water Resources, from the University of New Haven. Roger was formerly an Environmental Engineer with Lincoln Environmental and a Compliance Engineer with Hampford Research, Inc.

Judith Luciano – Judith has joined ESS Group, Inc. as an Administrative Assistant in our Wellesley, MA office. Judith has more than 15 years experience as an executive assistant and administrator.

Jeff Nield – Jeff has joined the Ecological and Environmental Permitting Practice in the East Providence, RI office. His 10 yrs of experience includes wetland and water quality permitting, invasive plant management, public health studies, public participation and facilitation, and project management. Jeff’s previous experience includes tenure with Kleinschmidt Associates and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) where he was the South County Watersheds Coordinator.

Roberta Quant, EIT – Roberta has joined ESS as a Staff Engineer II in the Land Development and Engineering Practice in the Wellesley, MA office. Roberta comes ESS us from The Bahamas where she worked for the Bahamas Water and Sewerage Corporation and the BEST Commission. Roberta holds Masters Degrees in Environmental Engineering and Ocean Engineering from the University of the West Indies and Florida Atlantic University, respectively.

David Cabral, PE, TURP – The Rhode Island State Board of Professional Engineers has approved David application to become a licensed Rhode Island Professional Engineer. A member of the Energy and Industrial Services Practice, David is also licensed in Massachusetts as both a Professional Engineer and certified Toxics Use Reduction Planner.
