Massachusetts Geological Society Formed

Posted May 20, 2015 by

Dear Fellow Geology Enthusiasts,

We are very pleased to announce the formation of the Massachusetts Geological Society.  We urge anyone with a passion for geology, or even just an interest, to join and become a member.

The first organizational meeting will be held on June 4, 2015, in the evening, at the offices of AECOM in Chelmsford, MA.  This will be followed by a field trip run by Lindley Hanson on Saturday July 18, 2015.  We will post more information about these events – time, location, directions, etc. – to the web site at a later date.

Joining is easy and inexpensive.  Attached is a membership form and my personal invitation to join the MA Geological Society.

Please feel free to spread the word and forward this email.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact geoinfo@massgeosociety.org for more information.

On behalf of the Massachusetts Geological Survey and the organizing committee, I look forward to seeing you on June 4.
