Mabbett Provides Industrial Hygiene Services at the St. Elizabeths West Campus, Washington, DC

BEDFORD, MA (February 2016) – Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett®) is providing Industrial Hygiene Services as part of the Center Building Redevelopment Project at the St. Elizabeths West Campus as a task order (TO) under an existing US General Services Administration (GSA) National Capital Region (NCR) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Industrial Hygiene & Environmental Services Contract.
As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prime contractor, Mabbett has been providing on-call industrial hygiene, safety, indoor air quality, regulated building material, and environmental compliance and engineering services to the GSA-NCR as part of our existing $6.5M, five-year ID/IQ Contract. Mabbett has provided a diverse array of EHS support within GSA owned, occupied, or leased facilities throughout the DC metropolitan area. Mabbett has been awarded 145 TOs totalling $1.9M since 2012 for a variety of services across the scope areas in more than one hundred different GSA-NCR buildings, including multiple projects at St. Elizabeths West Campus.
Mabbett is providing on-site oversight and asbestos abatement monitoring at the St. Elizabeths Center Building to insure proper and safe asbestos abatement in accordance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), US Department of Transportation (DOT), GSA, and the District of Columbia’s Department of Energy & Environment (DDOE). Since May 2015, Mabbett’s industrial hygienists have been providing oversight and on-site Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) analysis during the asbestos abatement activities to measure airborne fiber levels during the major project.
