Paul D. Steinberg, PE, LSP, President: As the President, Paul will provide strategic leadership by working with senior management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plan and policies. Building on Paul’s 15 years with Mabbett and 30 years in the industry, he will continue to develop Mabbett’s vision and implement the policies and procedures to successfully execute the overall strategy. In addition, Paul will continue to provide high-level Program Managemnt to Mabbett’s multi-year Feneral contracts including those with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Paul is a registered Professional Engineer in six states and is a Licensed Site Professional in MAssachusetts. He holds an MS in Marketing and Technological innovation and a BS in Chemical Engineering both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Susan S. Smits, CHMM, CET, TURP, Senior Vice President: Continuing Susan’s success with the firm over the past 15 years, she will serve as a Senior Vice President overseeing and implementing the strategic mission of Mabbett’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Office (MARO) and our largest Federal client – the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She will continue to serve as a Program Manager and Senior Technical Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) expert on numerous private and Federal contracts. Susan served nine years as a Bioenvironmental Engineering officer in the US Air Force and was assigned to four Air Force installations where she directed the bases’ industrial hygiene, environmental protection and radiation protection programs. Susan has an MS in Hazardous Waste and Materials Management from Southern Methodist University, an MA in Public Administration from Midwestern State University, and a BS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Christopher L. Mabbett, PMP, CPG, PG, Director of Operations: Chris will serve as Mabbetts Director of Operations and will be a key member of our Executive Management Committee. Chris is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations, including operational efficiency and for establishing a high standard of quality assurance and quality control for all project deliverables and services to the firm’s clients. In addition, Chris will direct and lead the Site Assessment and Remediation Group’s activities for the firm, including client relationship management, project management and technical project completion. Chris holds an MS in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University and a BS in Geology from Bates College. Chris has 13 years of progressive professional experience.
Nicole C. White, Exemplar Global ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, GHG Verifier, Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager and Senior Consultant: With 16 years of experience, Nicole will serve as Mabbett’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager and Senior Consultant in Alexandria, Virginia. Nicole will oversee the overall operation and performance of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office, along with maintaining our established and expanding client base. As an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verifier, Nicole will continue to serve as a key technical professional providing environmental and safety compliance, NEPA documentation, greenhouse gas management, environmental management systems (ISO 14001), and water and energy efficiency . She has an MS in Engineering Management from George Washington University and a BS in Public Affairs with an Environmental Management Concentration from Indiana University.
