Mabbett & Associates, Inc. Awarded 6th Consecutive Health & Safety Training Grant

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (M&A) has recently been awarded a maximum available $25,000 training grant from the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) for a sixth consecutive year. Under the DIA program, M&A has trained over 100 companies and 1,500 researchers,  acility/maintenance managers, emergency response team members, environmental health & safety managers, wastewater treatment plant operators, and manufacturing employees. The DIA pays for all of the training except for some minor administrative and logistical costs.

M&A’s grant program focuses on providing OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response training including First Responder Operations Level Training. The training program is MassDEP approved for wastewater operator Training Contract Hours (TCHs), provided on-site at Massachusetts employer locations and in open enrollment programs. Due to the success of the program and extremely low costs, demand has exceeded capacity. Training is expected to begin in early fall.
