BRINGING 12 YEARS OF HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS EXPERTISE TO AREA CLIENTS
Westfield, Massachusetts – August 24, 2016 – Tighe & Bond recently hired Project Manager Kevin McCarthy to support the increasing remediation needs of its clients throughout Connecticut. He joins the firm’s growing environmental services team in Middletown, with the goal of more completely serving that region.
With more than 12 years of providing environmental services to Connecticut and New York clients, McCarthy specializes in hazardous building materials. This includes inspections, as well as the development of abatement and remediation plans. He has extensive experience with hazardous building materials regulations, and requirements associated with renovation and demolition projects. He holds a Connecticut Department of Public Health license as an Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner, Project Designer, and Project Monitor. He also is a licensed Lead Inspector.
During his career, McCarthy has successfully managed dozens of hazardous building materials abatement projects for public and private clients ranging from school renovation projects to industrial demolition projects. Currently, he is Tighe & Bond’s project manager for the abatement and demolition of a 50,000 square foot former school in Stratford, Connecticut. He also is the project manager for a hazardous building materials inspection relevant to the renovation of 20,000 square foot industrial building in Hartford.
A resident of Orange, Connecticut, McCarthy earned his Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of New Haven. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science from Southern Connecticut State University.
