Geosyntec Team Awarded Environmental Management Contract at US Army Garrison Fort Devens

Geosyntec, as subcontractor to Bluestone Engineering, Inc., has been awarded an Environmental Management Support contract by the U.S. Army Garrison at Fort Devens, MassachusettsThe contract will allow the Bluestone/Geosyntec team to provide Fort Devens with wide ranging program support for RCRA compliance issues, Pollution Prevention (P2), and the Fort Devens Environmental Management System (EMS). The contract will allow us to assist in documenting the various waste streams at Fort Devens, monitor the quantities of hazardous materials being purchased and used, and to identify purchasing alternatives and management options which will ultimately represent an overall reduction of wastes. We will be providing the Installation’s Environmental Division with advice and guidance on all aspects of proper identification and management of these materials to include recommendations on short and long-term modification of policies and procedures to support their environmental mission. We will also be assisting in the identification of data that needs to be updated or created in the Fort Devens EMS and assisting in maintaining compliance with applicable portions of RCRA, CERCLA, and SARA.

Bluestone Engineering, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, is also a prime contractor at the U.S. Army’s Natick Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Massachusetts where they provide similar environmental compliance, P2, and EMS services. They are an Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business that specializes in environmental compliance, site assessments, remediation, regulatory interactions, and training.
