ESS Pre-Qualified by Massachusetts EEA and DCR for EEA NRD Program

ESS Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been pre-qualified to provide programmatic and technical assistance to the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Natural Resource Damages Program (NRD Program). The EEA has stated that the overall goal of the NRD Program is the restoration of public natural resources that have been damaged by a release, or threat of release, of oil, hazardous materials, and other injurious substances.

ESS Principal Scientist and Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) Robert Erickson stated, “The ESS Team is pleased to be able to continue to support the NRD Program as it has over the last three years in providing natural resource damage assessments, injury determination/quantification, and damage estimates.”  ESS offers the NRD Program a team with experience and expertise in the requisite technical disciplines to address natural resource injury.

ESS Pre-Qualified for DCR Lake and Pond Management

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation recently announced that ESS Group, Inc. has been pre-qualified as a vendor to assist its agency with lake and pond investigations, permitting, and management for the next five years.

ESS Vice President and Certified Lake Manager (CLM) Carl Nielsen noted, “Working with DCR over the past five-year period has given ESS an opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of capabilities from pond dredging design and aquatic plant studies to permitting of lake drawdowns and other management actions. ESS also worked closely with DCR on the development and implementation of the state?s new volunteer training program for invasive zebra mussels. ESS is pleased to have been selected as a preferred vendor by DCR for the second consecutive 5-year period.”
