BEDFORD, MA (April 2017) – Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett®) is pleased to announce that The Spirit of Adventure Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has named its 2016 Eagle Scout Class in honor of Arthur N. Mabbett, Founder and Chairman of Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett®).

274 Scouts in The Spirit of Adventure Council attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2016. These Scouts were recently honored at the Class of 2016 Eagle Recognition Dinner held at the Boston Marriott in Burlington, Massachusetts with over 500 Scouts, family and friends in attendance.

Chuck Eaton, The Spirit of Adventure Council Executive stated, “We are fortunate to have Arthur still involved in such a significant organization. The boys that join Scouting are looking for fun and adventure and in the meantime they are growing as individuals preparing to be leaders among their peers. I am glad that we can support them in their journey.”

Arthur earned his Eagle Scout award in 1964 at then Troop 401 in Medford, MA. He was inducted into the Order of The Arrow in Alaska also in 1964. As an adult leader, Arthur currently serves as Vice President and Chair of the Property Committee of The Spirit of Adventure Council (TSAC). The TSAC serves 76 cities and towns in Eastern Massachusetts. Arthur has also been recognized by the Council with the Silver Beaver award and the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout award for his contributions to Scouting and leadership. Arthur currently resides in Medford, MA with his wife Beverly.

“I congratulate the Class of 2016 Eagle Scouts! It is an honor and privilege to represent them at this momentous time in their lives,” stated Arthur N. Mabbett. “I understand and value, first hand, the hard work and persistence that each Scout has demonstrated to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. I know these young Eagle Scouts will take the Boy Scout experience with them throughout their life and will become our future leaders. I congratulate them on their success and also their parents and adult leaders for their efforts and assistance.”

As stated on the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) website, “The BSA is one of the nations’ largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, providing programs for young people that build character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness. For more than 100 years, the BSA has helped build future leaders by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The BSA believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible and productive society.”
