It give us great pleasure to announce that Cristina Mendoza of Capaccio Environmental Engineering will be joining the EBC Ascending Professionals Committee Leadership Team as Vice Chair. Cristina has been involved with EBC for several years and recently received the EBC Ascending Leaders Award for 2017.

Ms. Mendoza holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science (2014) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (2015) from Clark University. She began interning at Capaccio Environmental Engineering, Inc. (Capaccio) throughout her undergraduate and graduate years, starting in June 2013. Cristina has been working full-time at Capaccio as an Environmental Scientist/Sustainability Consultant since June 2015, and was promoted to the ES II level in January 2016.
Cristina’s experience and expertise include corporate sustainability reporting and consulting, greenhouse gas reporting and sustainability metrics tracking and analysis. Other experience and expertise include environmental reporting and ISO 14001 Management Systems development. Cristina leads the Sustainability Technical Group for Capaccio and is responsible for technical expertise, internal resource development, and technical group strategy. She also leads the Management Systems Technical Group for Capaccio, holding similar responsibilities. Along with technical project execution, Cristina is a Project Manager and EHS DashboardTM Account Manager.
In April 2017, Cristina co-presented at the 2017 SESHA (Semiconductor Environmental Safety and Health Association) Symposium on the topic of ‘The Power of Aligning EH&S with Business Aspirations’. In addition, Cristina is a member of the AIM Sustainability Roundtable expert sustainability panel, which plans and executes events throughout the year on sustainability topics. Cristina has also been a member of the EBC Ascending Professionals Committee (Member since 2013 – Leadership Team Member since Summer 2014) in which she planned a program event on sustainable, responsible, impact investing.
