Climate Change: Risks, Rewards, Resiliency (R3)

The Air & Waste Management Association New England Section (A&WMA-NES) is pleased to announce its annual conference in keeping with our mission:

“…To promote a clean environment, provide leadership in the fields of air pollution control and waste management, promote a sense of environmental responsibility and understanding of the problems of air pollution control and waste management and related environmental concerns among government agencies, research personnel, educators, representatives of industry, the general public, and the Section members.”

On October 27, 2016 the A&WMA NES Annual Conference will address the current science of climate change. Representatives from the MA, CT, and NH state environmental agencies and EPA New England will present the regulatory framework of climate change in our region. Presenters will share  how organizations are responding to the business and operational risks of climate change, and how they are building resiliency. You will hear from experts in the field on how addressing climate change  can be a business opportunity as well as good science.

We intend to present you with  perspectives on the science, regulatory issues, potential risks, and business opportunities associated with climate change.  The agenda will appeal to environmental and sustainability directors, environmental consultants and municipal leaders.

Contact us at email@awmanewengland.org for information on obtaining Continuing Education Units or Credits (CEUs or CECs) for this conference.
