Bedford, MA – The Boston Minuteman Council, Boy Scouts of America recently awarded Arthur N. Mabbett, President, Mabbett & Associates, Inc. the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award at its Annual Council Dinner for his outstanding achievements at the local, state, and regional level.
Arthur received his Eagle Scout Award in 1964 as a member of Troop 401 in Medford and currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Properties Committee of the Boston Minuteman Council. He is also a Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association and a Member of the Order of the Arrow. When accepting the award Arthur commented, “It was the duty of an Eagle Scout to not only set a high standard for others to follow, but also to give back to others in recognition of those who have given so much to help one succeed”. In addition, “The Boy Scout program provided me with exceptional leadership and community services opportunities which I have used throughout my professional career and personal life. I encourage all young boys to join the Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs as they can have a material impact on one’s life”.

Geosyntec Consultants has hired Jim Brinkman, P.E. in their Acton office to lead their practice related to the management of sediments. He brings almost 20 years of related experience to the firm and has extensive domestic and international experience on large, complex remediation projects. His professional focus is on remedial planning, feasibility/treatability studies, design, and remedy execution for major sediment dredging, dewatering, stabilization, material handling, and water treatment projects. He possesses a thorough knowledge of all phases of design/construction including management, development of project strategies, bench-to-full scale evaluations, conceptual/detailed design, estimating, schedule, project plans, and procurement. Jim earned both his M.S. and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and he is a P.E. in Massachusetts and New Jersey.
