Robert Belitz Joins Tighe & Bond as Chief Financial Officer

Westfield, Massachusetts – August 28, 2014 – Tighe & Bond, a New England leader in civil and environmental engineering consulting, appointed Robert Belitz as its Chief Financial Officer this week.  In this role, he will direct Tighe & Bond’s financial operations and priorities, as well as contribute to growth strategies consistent with the firm’s continued expansion in the marketplace.

Belitz, who will provide financial management from the firm’s Westfield office, is a certified public accountant and executive with more than 25 years of corporate finance and accounting experience in professional services.  He previously has served as the Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, and Vice President of Finance for firms such as Malcolm Pirnie, Arcadis U.S., and the Hunter Roberts Construction Group.  He also provided senior management for the public accounting firms of Ernst and Young LLP, and KPMG LLP in New York.  His prior responsibilities have included oversight and management of all financial functions, as well as developing and implementing financial plans and processes to achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Belitz, who earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Muhlenberg College, is a member of the New York State Society of CPA’s, and the Construction Financial Management Association.  He also has participated in various finance forums with the Environmental Financial Consulting Group (EFCG), Ernst and Young, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and the Design Finance Officers Group (DFOG).

David Cedarholm Joins Tighe & Bond’s Portsmouth Team

Westfield, Massachusetts – August 19, 2014 – David Cedarholm, P.E. joined Tighe & Bond this month as a senior project manager working out of the firm’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire office.

A civil engineer, Cedarholm brings 26 years of experience in water resources, wastewater, stormwater, and asset management to Tighe & Bond clients.  During this time, he has focused on serving New Hampshire municipalities.  For more than eight years he served as the engineer for the Town of Durham’s Public Works Department, and before that collaborated with numerous other municipalities on a wide range of projects as an engineering consultant.

In addition, Cedarholm has overseen a number of innovative and collaborative initiatives involving state and federal agencies.  He also has 32 years of construction experience, providing him with a solid understanding of the wide range of environmental challenges New England faces.  A resident of Lee, New Hampshire, he also serves as Chairman of the Board of Selectmen in that town, as well as acts as the Board’s representative on Lee’s Planning Board and Recreation Commission.  He also recently became Lee’s appointee to New Hampshire’s Southeast Watershed Alliance.

Cedarholm earned his Master of Science in Civil Engineering/Water Resources from the University of New Hampshire.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from SUNY New Paltz.  Cedarholm is a licensed professional engineer, as well as a licensed subsurface disposal system designer, in New Hampshire.

Nexamp Acquires 4.4 Megawatt Solar Asset Portfolio

BOSTON, MA–(Marketwired – Aug 19, 2014) – Nexamp, a leading solar solutions provider, announced today its acquisition of a 4.4 megawatt (MW) portfolio of solar projects operating in Massachusetts from Broadway Renewable Strategies. The projects produce enough energy to power 650 homes a year.

Nexamp will manage the operating assets, whose power purchase agreements provide clean energy and electricity savings to educational, municipal and commercial institutions in 11 Massachusetts communities. Nexamp will use its market leading asset management expertise to ensure these projects continue to perform at their highest levels.
