ESS Welcomes Stephanie Wilson, Project Scientist

February 7, 2013 – Waltham, Massachusetts – ESS is pleased to welcome Stephanie Wilson as a Project Scientist to the Ecological Services & Environmental Permitting Practice in Waltham. Stephanie is a marine biologist with 15 years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance. At ESS, she will be responsible for performing technical and regulatory assignments, as well as contributing to business development activities and assisting with the continued growth of the company’s ecological science and environmental permitting service offerings.
Stephanie’s technical background and experience is in the marine and coastal science business sector, specifically in developing federal and state environmental impact assessments, National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance, and dredged material characterization and disposal monitoring work, driven by both public and private sector clients. “Stephanie’s wide range of expertise in water protection and restoration will increase ESS’s capacity to serve the growing water resources market that our clients are increasingly demanding,” said ESS Vice President Carl Nielsen.
Stephanie most recently worked for AECOM where she served as Senior Project Manager preparing environmental impact assessments and coordinating field sampling activities. She designed and implemented numerous monitoring programs for Clean Water Act and NPDES 316 compliance. In addition, she served as the Deputy Program Manager for the dredged material disposal monitoring program for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a MS in Marine Biology with a specialization in fisheries and holds a BS in Marine and Freshwater Biology from the University of New Hampshire.
