The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s General Permit for the Discharge of Stormwater from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4 General Permit) became effective July 1, 2017. Municipalities covered under this permit are well into the second year of the permit, and planning for the third year, when the most resource-intensive efforts are required to meet the outfall sampling and screening requirements.
